As of June 1st, 2018, the parent of a disabled child, for whom 3 grounds of eligibility have been established, each of them entitling him to a 50% rate benefit - will be entitled to a benefit at 100% rate.
That concerns a child with multiple impairments resulting in a great therapeutic burden and complex struggle, arising from severe diseases requiring the parent's full supervision over the child.
Grounds of eligibility, everyone of which grants a 50% benefit:
Entitlement is determined for the period during which all three eligibility grounds where suffered at the same time.
Authorizations to be provided

In certain circumstances, we may examine benefit eligibility based on documentation alone, without requiring the child's examination by a Medical Board.
Should entitlement be established based on documents only, you would keep the possibility to request, within 45 days, to be examined by the Board in the child's presence.
Benefit rate
The parent of a child, for whom 3 grounds of eligibility have been established, each of them entitling him to a 50% rate benefit - will be entitled to a benefit at 100% rate, amounting to NIS 3,479 (as of Jan 01, 2024).

The benefit is paid retroactively up to a year prior to the date of submission of the claim (not prior to June 1, 2018).
Important
You are entitled to receive, free of charge, advice and preparation for appointments at the Medical Board provided by
"Helping Hand" centers.
If you were summoned to appear with your child before a Medical Board and your child does not require assistance for everyday functionsDressing, eating, washing, mobility in the home, personal hygiene – you may request these activities to be excluded from examination.
Prior to the Medical Board, it is recommended to prepare a list of your child's medical problems, and to indicate, during the Board, how these medical problems affect the functioning of the child and his parents.
